Simply You

This dad is being simply himself. After I shot this image mom said “you always do that pose”. So of course I had to share his infamous pose.

I strive to make everyone comfortable at a session. I want my sessions to chill to the point where I feel like a part of the family. I have known the Mom of this family for a while, and this was the first time meeting Dad. The dad was wearing a cut-off shirt, and he was holding a drink. Inside I screamed Yesssss!!! Coming as you are is what I mean when I say I want families to be themselves. I want them to look and feel like themselves; that way, when they come back years from now, they can look back and say, "that's me, I remember when...". So when I am photographing families, my goal is to show the family how perfect and wonderful they are.

Due to the weather, we had to reschedule this particular session. The next time I met the family, I was not disappointed. The family was snacking on chips and paletas (Mexican ice cream). So pulled out my camera and captured some raw moments before the session. I had to capture this special moment the family shared. This everyday life gives me so much joy because they're creating memories they will cherish forever. Earlier, when I said it is my goal to show families how perfect they are, I mean the perfect imperfections are what I will show.

I am so grateful to capture this beautiful family. I could feel the strong bond and love they have for each other.

I live for families like this. Suppose you are looking for a photographer who will direct you and give you the flexibility to be yourself and feel at home. I am the girl for you.
