Baby love
I can't wait for you all to see these images of this sweet baby girl named after her great-grandma. I had the pleasure of visiting with mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Four generations in one room, you don't see it often and when you do. It is truly magical. They say it takes an army to raise a child, or it takes a village. Anyway, it's so true it doesn't matter how big or small your army is, it's nice to have them there. Those of you who have done it alone knows how hard it is, and those of you who choose to have their people there for them know it's still not easy, but it is reassuring to have the people you trust the most there with you.
Mama called this sweet baby girl Baby Love. So I will refer to her as Baby Love. Baby love was two weeks old at the time of the session. From the short period spent with this family, I can tell you. Mom is strong, beautiful and has so many patients, and has tender love for her baby.
We go through so much pain and change in a short time. It's incredible how much our body goes through to provide for our baby. We provide shelter, nutrition, and comfort.
Baby Love embraced being in mama's arms. There is nothing more comforting than mama's arms. Although I believe it is okay to hold your baby 24/7, some may disagree, and that is okay. But, again, I am speaking about my experience. My four-year-old would be in my arms 24/7 when she was a baby and, now she thinks she is a "big girl." so that means cuddles are for babies. I remind her she is never too old for cuddles, so she giggles and cuddles close.
To close this blog, I am going to get to the point. Babies will grow up before our eyes. The newborn stage goes by so quickly. So enjoy all the cuddles right now. It's not easy to always carry, feed and meet your baby's needs. I remember the backache, arm pain, and sleepless nights, but they're so worth it.
