Introduction to the Blog
Hello y Hola family and friends and to those of you don’t know me. This is my first blog, so I am going to start off with a warning. I am not a writer. I repeat I am not a writer so there will be some grammatical errors, if that is not your cup of tea, I am sorry feel free to stop reading now or keep reading and find all of my mistakes.
On that note I am the first to admit I am not perfect, and my thoughts bounce around everywhere. These Blogs will sound like me, and it will informative. I hope you all enjoy this journey!
Those of you who know me know that I struggle on the daily trying to find my words. With that struggle I constantly work on using or finding the “right” words. For those of you who don’t know me I will give you a little understanding. I learned this struggle comes from growing up in a bi-lingue home. (the second language is Spanish) Things like “bajate de caro” literal translates to “get down from the car” so when I ask friends to “get down” they duck instead of getting out of the car. Another quick example is apparently you can’t “turn off a candle” apparently you “blow out a candle”. There is so many examples I could go all day trying to explain how things make sense to me. If you can relate comment down below your favorite misspoken words.
Since we’re on the topic of language I am going to jump right here and explain what I understand. I know some can relate. English is my first language and Spanish is my second language. I understand Spanish fluently but speaking it isn’t so easy. My padrastro (step dad) would speak Spanish to us and we would reply back in English, so I didn’t get much practice speaking Spanish as I did hearing it. So yes, this brown girl struggles rolling her r’s and I have come to terms that it is okay. I can keep a Spanish conversation going and I am proud of the language of my ancestors.
With all this being said my point is I am not perfect I am a girl from a little town in Texas, who has a passion to capture families at all points of their lives. I can’t wait for the opportunity to work with you and your family. Remember we’re not perfect but we are perfectly and wonderfully made.
Much love,
